Safaris and Tours 

Strider Expeditions offers 5 Safaris which explore the natural, scenic and cultural wonders of both South Africa and Mozambique. These itineraries can be booked either as they currently stand or they may be tailored to your own specific needs. All our tours depart on Sundays from Johannesburg with a minimum of 4 guest required for departure. 

All our Bush and Beach Safaris are listed below with a short description and a link to the Full Itinerary at the end of each description. Prices are quoted in South African Rands (ZAR) and are valid until 31/10/2010


Bush & Beach Safari: Kruger, Canyons & Mozambique  

Duration: 13 Days & 12 Nights

Adult Rate: R 23,995 (ZAR) sharing 

Child Rate: R 14,995 (ZAR) sharing

 

October and November Special:

Book for 4 people and only pay R 19,995 per adult sharing and R 13,995 per child sharing. Valid for October and November, with travel only to Barra (Mozambique)

 

This Tour combines several of the most beautiful African locations, providing you with an ultimate safari and sightseeing experience. Start your trip in the world famous Kruger National Park, one of the greatest wildlife conservation areas in Africa and experience the thrill of meeting one of the Big 5, discover the Blyde River Canyon the 3rd largest of its kind, meander to Maputo and explore the City of contrast and finally fly to either Inhaca Island, Barra or Vilanculos. All being unique Indian Ocean locations renowned for their isolated beaches, warm waters and fantastic marine life.

Bush & Beach Safari: Kruger, Swaziland & Mozambique

Duration: 13 Days & 12 Nights

Experience the diversity of South Africa, Swaziland and Mozambique. Travel down the escarpment to the Kruger National Park, one of the greatest conservation areas on the planet. Search for animals with your own private safari guide. Traverse the Blyde River Canyon, the largest of its kind on earth, travel to the Kingdom of Swaziland and experience the wonderful Swazi culture. Head across the border and explore Maputo, a true African City before departing to your choice of Indian Ocean paradises: Inhaca, Barra or Vilanculos.

Kruger to Canyons Safari

Traverse the Kruger National Park with one of our expert safari guides. As you travel from North to South, your guide will provide you with ample information about the Parks Animals, Plants, Geology, Climate, Conservation Management and History. Spend your days enjoying fantastic sightings and your evenings under clear star filled skies. Your final evening will be spent in the Blyde River

Kruger Walk & Drive Safari  

Duration: 7 Days & 6 Nights   

Adult Rate: R 11,995 (ZAR) sharing   

Child Rate: Unfortunately no children under 12  

 

A fantastic combination safari, taking you to the Blyde River Canyon and into the rugged wilderness of the Kruger National Park. We travel down the escarpment to Blyde River Canyon, the 3rd largest Canyon in the world. Taking in the beautiful vistas and visiting the Moholoholo Rehabilitation Centre. We enter the Kruger National Park where explore the area by vehicle while your guide provides you with ample information about the Parks Animals, Plants, Geology, Climate, Conservation Management and History. Then continue into the untouched wilderness areas of Kruger where you will experience the thrill of tracking the Big 5 on foot, wildlife viewing at its best.

Kruger Wilderness Backpacking Safari

 

Duration: 8 Days & 7 Nights 

Adult Rate: R 12,995 (ZAR) sharing  

Child Rate: Unfortunately, no children under 12  

 

This fantastic Safari will take you deep into the heart of the Kruger National Park, where you will explore the northern Wilderness areas of the Park by 4x4 and on foot. You safari begins in Johannesburg, traveling down the escarpment to Blyde River Canyon, the 3rd largest Canyon on the Planet. We then continue into Kruger, and stay at the unique Tsendze Wilderness Camping Site, searching for game by 4x4. We then head north, exiting our vehicle and heading out on foot. The Mphongolo Wilderness Trail offers the ultimate safari experience. Trekking through Kruger on a 3 night backpack trail, camping in the wilderness at night and searching for game on foot by day. After it all, we will enjoy the tranquility of Shingwedzi Camp before returning to Johannesburg
