Strider Expeditions was formed in August 2006 with the aim to develop a Tour Operation which would incorporate the wonders of an African safari and the beauty of the untouched and often wild coastlines of the area.

Initially, the operation stayed within the borders of South Africa, but soon included trips into Mozambique, the first of which in 2008.

In 2009 we included a Kwa-Zulu Natal Tour into our portfolio, while continuing to offer a Guided Safaris to Kruger and Mozambique, while also developing custom designed experiences. These have proved to be a great success and include fantastic Tours of South Africa following the British and Irish Lions Rugby Team, handling the travel logistics for a rather unusual wedding in the remote Mapungubwe National Park and developing and implementing a Education Tour for a High School from Senegal!

We continue to grow from strength to strength and take pride in the services and tours we offer. You can be assured with us that you will be getting a personal safari experience from people who have passion for the countries you visit, intimate knowledge of the areas and a love for all things wild and untouched.

Here are a few fast facts about Strider Expeditions:

-          We don’t have a sales team. The people that will be answering your enquiries are the people who will be doing the tour, so you know that those who are offering you advice, are giving it to on a first hand basis. We’ve done it, we’ve seen it and we know what we are doing!

-          We offer tours in closed, air-conditioned 4x4 microbuses, which seat 8 people (including the guide) comfortably. These vehicles are fully insured, and hold the necessary permits to transport guests throughout South Africa and Mozambique. They are higher than most vehicles and offer fantastic game viewing and sightseeing while the sliding windows are great for photography.

-          We utilize a network of extremely experienced and equally qualified guides, who are stationed throughout South Africa, many of which are close friends who we have worked with for many years.

-          Our Safari routes have been meticulously planned, and researched with our accommodation options not only providing impeccable service but in many cases a truly African experience

-          We are a fully bonded member of the South African Tourism Services Association (SATSA), and take pride in adhering to their strict standards.
